Learn How the Cleaning Industry Can Help With CDC Travel Guidelines

March 2, 2021

Last month, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued updated requirements for traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this ISSA industry alert update, Dr. Gavin Macgregor-Skinner, director of the Global Biorisk Advisory Council™ (GBAC), a Division of ISSA, examines these new guidelines. He explains a CDC statement detailing how travelers in  airports, bus and train stations, as well as rest stops can be exposed through respiratory droplets or contaminated areas and reveals  how long SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, can survive on various surfaces. Dr. Macgregor-Skinner also address some of the pressing questions on traveling in the time of coronavirus and discusses how the cleaning industry and GBAC can help transportation hubs mitigate the risk of exposure for travelers.
