Green Seal Releases COVID-19 Cleaning Guidelines

Improper cleaning and disinfection methods, such as incorrectly applying products to surfaces, can expose building occupants to unsafe levels of hazardous chemicals while failing to protect them from COVID-19. Recently, Green Seal® released Guidelines for Safer COVID-19 Cleaning and Disinfection. These guidelines offer best practices and infographics to:

  • Create and communicate a cleaning and disinfecting plan
  • Ensure that cleaning personnel is properly trained
  • Maintain sustainability and healthy indoor air
  • Provide safer working conditions.

Facilities can use these recommendations to help them use safe and effective products and cleaning methods that keep building occupants and cleaning staff healthy.
