U.S. Flu Activity Shows Slight Increase
Although flu activity remains low in the United States, small increases were reported in 13 states, according to the most recent weekly flu update from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These states are seeing outbreaks of laboratory-confirmed flu in at least one region.
However, most of the United States—35 states and the District of Columbia—continue to report only sporadic flu activity. In all the states, Influenza A (H1N1) has been the most commonly identified flu virus since September 30.
