Janitor Starts Fundraiser to Beautify School Grounds
Janitors take pride in the buildings they service, making sure they look clean and well-maintained. A school custodian for Titusville High School in Titusville, Fla., had taken that pride one step further by staring a fundraiser to create landscaping around the school, Fox News reports.
Terry Howoth noticed the school doesn’t have much greenery around it and decided the campus would benefit from trees, hardy shrubs, mulch, and other landscaping supplies. She posted on Facebook seeking donations from students’ parents and town residents. She received her first donations this week—seven bags of mulch—and is hopeful more will be coming. “I’ll do anything to help my school; I’m proud of Titusville,” she said.
