Janitor’s Closet Converted to Bar
At the end of a long workday, as custodians head to the janitor’s closet to put away their supplies, they might plan to meet up with other workers for a drink or meal. They would feel right at home in a small Chicago tavern, named the Janitor’s Closet, which started out as a cleaning supplies room, Chicago magazine reports.
You won’t find posters, paintings, or other typical artwork in the tavern. Instead, mop heads, containers of cleaning chemicals, brooms, dustpans, and other cleaning tools line the walls and occupy shelves.
As tempting as it would be to remodel your own facility’s janitor closet into your own personal snack bar or mini nightclub, chances are your supervisor won’t go for it. You will gain points, however, and be able to work more efficiently by keeping your supplies closet organized. Turn to CMM for tips on taking inventory of the janitor’s closet, decluttering the space, and safety disposing of unwanted chemicals and tools.
