Facilities Using Rideshare Tech for Waste Removal

August 10, 2018

Schools, hotels, stadiums, and other facilities with waste removal and recycling needs are turning to a new business that uses ride share technology to transport garbage, CNBC reports.

Recycle Track Systems (RTS) connects its clients with independent trash haulers, then tracks the garbage from pickup to drop-off. The startup aims to reduce landfill waste by taking food garbage to farms where it is covered to soil, and plastic garbage to recycling facilities to be cleaned and recycled. RTS currently operated in New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD; Chicago, IL; and Washington, D.C.
