College Offers New FM Degree
Are you looking to advance your maintenance career? This month, Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, MN, announced it is offering a two-year degree in facilities operations and management.
Courses for the Associate of Applied Science in Facilities Operations and Management program begin this fall and will take place in the evening to accommodate students already working in the field. The courses will incorporate a variety of software programs, including computerized maintenance management systems, integrated workforce management systems, and building monitoring systems. Sustainability concepts also will be incorporated into each course to meet the demand of modern facility operations.
Students will have access to the entire campus as a learning laboratory, giving them experience in maintaining a mixture of old and new facilities. In addition to maintenance, the program will focus on asset management, space management, and building safety and security.
