Aramark Teams With Beyond Meat
Aramark has entered into a strategic agreement with plant-based meat substitute manufacturer Beyond Meat.
Per the terms of the agreement Aramark will work with Beyond Meat to develop more meatless menu options at its catering and concessions operations. The plant-based menus are part of Aramark’s overall corporate vision to lower greenhouse gas emissions and improve the health of its product offerings.
“The trick for us is to develop and offer unique meatless options that taste great and appeal to consumers who might want to try something new and those who follow plant-forward diets,” said Heidi Hogan, Aramark’s vice president of product development and culinary innovation. “Early on, we understood that consumer preferences were driving a need for quality plant-forward offerings and our culinary team has been working with a broad range of plant-based products, to create more enticing menu choices.”
