Behind the Scenes at an NFL Stadium
On Friday, October 28, attendees of ISSA/INTERCLEAN took a behind-the-scenes tour of Solider Field, home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears. Not only did participants learn about the stadium’s long and vast history, but they had the opportunity to view various areas of the stadium—including the visiting team locker room, an executive suite, and the field itself. Additionally, participants were able to hear firsthand about what it takes to maintain and clean a high-traffic facility that houses not only an NFL team, but various concerts and events that seat tens of thousands of attendees.
Cleaning and Maintenance Management’s January 2017 issue will feature a profile of the stadium in addition to insight on how Soldier Field staff clean the facility, maintain the grounds, and keep the building up to snuff after such highly attended events. Be on the lookout for this article next month in our Facility Focus section.
