Are you micromanaged?

Is it understood that you know what is expected of you and your supervisor leaves you to your own devices in completing your daily tasks? Or does it seem like the "higher-ups" are always looking over your shoulder?

Are you allowed to use a smartphone, iPod or other electronic device to listen to music, radio, watch videos, etc.?

What about those in supervisory roles? How much slack do you leave on your employees?
