PHOENIX — An Arizona mom who shed light on McDonald's unsanitary indoor playgrounds has been banned from eight of the fast-food chain's locations in the Phoenix area, according to the Chicago Tribune.

For the past eight months, Erin Carr-Jordan has been calling attention to the lack of sanitization and cleaning of the indoor playgrounds of fast-food chains, including McDonald's, the article stated.

According to the article, Carr-Jordan believes she was issued the ban after she shared lab results with local health authorities who then turned up at one of the establishments for a "complaint inspection."

Carr-Jordan's lab results showed the presence of infectious staph bacteria, among other pathogens, the article noted.

Two days later, Carr-Jordan received a letter from the franchisee's lawyer telling her she was prohibited from visiting the locations: Under Arizona statutes, a person who enters private property after "a reasonable request to leave" can be charged with criminal trespass, the article added.
