BOULDER, CO — Six workers at the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU) filed for workers'' compensation after they showed symptoms of mold contamination, according to the Boulder Daily Camera.

All six workers had been working in the engineering building when they began exhibiting irritated eyes and respiratory ailments often attributed to mold, the article stated.

According to the article, no mold contamination has yet been found.

"Even though nothing has been found, we share the workers'' concern," said CU spokeswoman Malinda Miller-Huey.

"CU Environmental Health and Safety groups are working to get to the bottom of this," Miller-Huey added.

The next step for the university would be to work with the six workers'' physicians to try and narrow down the cause of their ailments, the article noted.
