Utica National switches to green cleaning with UGL Unicco

BOSTONUGL Unicco has announced a new contract with Utica National Insurance Group to provide sustainable custodial and facilities services for all the company''s buildings in and around Utica, New York, according to a press release.

According to the release, as part of the three-year contract, UGL Unicco is implementing its GreenClean program, which includes the use of Green Seal-certified cleaners and updated equipment like high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA)-certified vacuum cleaners.

Utica National Director of Administrative Services Beth Treen said: "We''re pleased to have UGL Unicco with its green cleaning expertise and sustainability programs at our disposal. Our goal is to provide a safe, healthy environment for our employees."

UGL Unicco will oversee cleaning and maintenance of the company''s headquarters, east regional offices and archives warehouse, the release stated.

UGL Unicco Director of Operations Erick Van Savage said: "Utica National understands the value of sustainability. Their facilities are in excellent shape, yet these advanced techniques will create an even better work environment."
