University of Nebraska at Lincoln custodian receives award

LINCOLN, NE — Cathi Carlson, a custodian at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, recently received an award for her outstanding service and dedication to her position, according to a press release.
Responsible for the cleanliness of Abel-Sandoz Residence Hall, Carlson was given the 2009-2010 National Residence Hall Honorary "Of the Year" award for faculty and staff, the release stated.
Students from the residence hall government nominated Carlson for her outstanding service to students, the release noted.
One appreciative student said: "Cathi is a warm-hearted person and almost a motherly figure that keeps us all in check, while making this home away from home awesome."
Carlson also received the University of Nebraska at Lincoln December "Of the Month" award, which was presented at a recent celebration banquet, the release added.
