LONGVIEW, WA — The workers at Georgia-Pacific''s mill in Northwest Oregon recently approved a strike due to their expired contract, according to The Seattle Times.
The 900 mill workers have been working under a contract that is no longer valid since April 2010, the article stated.
According to Georgia-Pacific spokeswoman Kristi Ward, the company if offering a six percent wage increase and a boost in pension benefits in lieu of a new contract, according to the article.
