Uniform company's soiled actions result in fine

MINNETONKA, MN — Uniform company G&K Services Inc. was recently fined for violating pollution standards at its laundry facility between 2005 and 2008, according to the Des Moines Register.
The company, which is accused of discharging too much oil and grease in its facility''s wastewater, had previously plead guilty of violating polution standards, the story stated.
U.S. Attorney Nicholas Klinefeldt says G&K Services was fined $450,000 because its negligence allowed the discharge to occur, the story noted.
On top of the hefty fine, G&K Services was ordered to ensure its Pleasant Hill laundry facility complies with all pollution rules moving forward, the story added.
