CAMBRIDGE, MA — Two former Harvard Business School custodians will be rehired by Unicco Service Company, according to The Harvard Crimson.
The custodians were fired by Unicco last year after the company believed that their immigration paperwork had not been filed properly, the article stated.
According to the article, the decision to rehire the janitors comes a day after a petition containing over 80 worker signatures was delivered to the Unicco office at the Business School.
Wayne M. Langley, the director of higher education for Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 615, said that, while the employees'' paperwork had been mishandled, neither employee presented any liability for Unicco, the article noted.
