BOISE, ID — Dr. Jessica Green and Rex Morrison have joined the Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) advisory board, according to a pres release.
Jessica Green, Ph.D., is a TED2010 Fellow and TED2011 Senior Fellow, professor at the Santa Fe Institute and founding director of the innovative Biology and the Built Environment (BioBE) Center that unites biology and architecture to achieve healthier facilities, the release stated.
According to the release, "Jessica envisions a future with genomic-driven approaches to architectural design that promote sustainability, human health and well-being. She is currently spearheading efforts to model buildings as complex ecosystems that house trillions of diverse microorganisms interacting with each other, with humans and with their environment."
Rex Morrison is president of the non-profit Process Cleaning for Healthy Schools (PCHS) Consortium Inc., the release noted.
Morrison now helps school districts across the nation implement the PCHS program to save money and jobs while enhancing the health of the indoor environment, the release added.
