LAS VEGAS — Day one of the three-day Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) Train the Trainer course hosted by Brady Industries kicked off yesterday, with eager fanfare for day two from the 30 attendees.

Brady Industries boasts a state-of-the-art training facility that allows for participants to receive the proper mixture of classroom and hands-on training to take back to their facilities and share with their employees.

In between coffee breaks and a catered lunch, attendees learned about the chemistry of cleaning; cleaning hard floors, carpeted and above-floor surfaces; and various aspects of restroom care.

Days two and three will build upon the basics laid out in the first day, culminating with a certification examination to ensure all attendees are comfortable with and fully understand the content delivered to them.

Taught by industry veteran and CMI Master Trainer Marion Ivey — and CMI''s own Matt Moberg — attendees of the Train the Trainer course will leave with:

  • All of the tools and skills needed to develop a successful training and certification program for their facility or organization
  • Independent third-party front-line custodial training certification
  • Knowledge of the training requirement set forth by the ISSA''s Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS)
  • An understanding of custodial best practices that minimize environmental impact.
