Thursday''s Ask the Experts question from a cleaning professional on the International Custodial Advisors Network (ICAN) "Ask the Experts" page: Our school district has begun using a microfiber dry/wet mop system. Workers have expressed concern about the dry mop sticking to the vinyl tile floor and that it does not sweep as well as those made out of cotton. What has been the experience of those who use the microfiber system?
The answer:
Microfiber cloths and mops do have a different feel and drag to them and may take some getting used to.
However, the drag should not be excessive or tiring.
There are differences in these types of cloths and not all microfibers are suitable for all uses.
