The town council fronts equipment money

VERNON, CT — The Vernon town council will front the money needed to purchase new janitorial floor cleaning equipment, according to the Vernon Patch.

The council approved the board of education''s request for monetary support, but with a condition, the article stated.

According to the article, two council members requested to see year-end surplus numbers to make sure the board wasn''t able to purchase the equipment themselves.

The equipment will be used at Vernon Center Middle School and Rockville High School, the article noted.
