The LEED consultant for the project was LORD Green Real Estate Strategies Inc., a Dallas company that specializes in greening existing buildings, the release stated.
Pam Padgett, vice president of property management for Crescent Resources LLC, said: "The LEED Gold rating puts the office towers among Charlotte''s elite green facilities. We''re thrilled Piedmont Town Center has been recognized by the USGBC."
The Piedmont Town Center hopes to minimize environmental impacts through recent upgrades in cleaning, maintenance, recycling and various other facility systems, the release noted.
