LOGAN, UT — Nathan Bringhurst, 19, has created the first-ever theme song for a Windsor vacuum, according to the Herald Journal.
''The Windsor''s blue and white, the Windsor''s out of sight; it might start a fight, we''re all gonna use it right," Bringhurst, who has had a love of professional-grade uprights since he was three, wrote about the vacuum, the article stated.
According to the article, Bringhurst has Williams syndrome — a rare genetic disorder with a range of symptoms that include cardiovascular anomalies, a lack of social inhibition and an uncommonly cheerful demeanor.
Another symptom of Williams syndrome can be an over-sensitivity to certain sound frequencies; the pitch of the vacuum was, at first, frightening for Bringhurst, the article noted.
To alleviate anxiety caused by the vacuum, staff at the school encouraged Nathan to try it out and see for himself the vacuum was nothing to fear, and he has been obsessed ever since, the article added.
Teri Guy, a co-worker of Nathan’s mother, was so taken by his love of the vacuum that she contacted the manufacturer, and a regional representative for Windsor Industries made an appearance at Nathan’s school on Friday to present him with a brand new Windsor Versamatic, the article concluded.
"We sent him a shirt and a hat, and when we heard how old the vacuum was, we decided to get him a new one. Anyone that fanatic about a vacuum cleaner — we need to do something for him," said Mark Meents of Windsor.
