COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio State University (OSU) has announced that Ohio Stadium will no longer need trash bins, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

Officials say there is no need for the bins because everything sold inside the stadium can either be recycled or composted, the article stated.

According to the article, the effort is called "zero waste," meaning that 90 percent of trash must be diverted from landfills.

Ohio Stadium will be the largest in the world to attempt to hit the 90 percent threshold, the article noted.

Color-coded recycling and composting bins will be placed throughout the stadium on game days; scarlet bins will be for recycling and grey bins for compostable items, the article added.
