FORT LAURDERDALE, FL — Swisher Hygiene has announced it has acquired businesses in Upstate New York and in Atlanta in deals worth a total of $7 million, according to the Sun Sentinel.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based Swisher has acquired the health care and hospitality division of Solvents and Petroleum Service, which operates in Syracuse and Rochester, New York, and ADCO Services, an Atlanta-based company that provides laundry, housekeeping and other commercial cleaning services, the article stated.
Swisher also has an expanding South Florida presence: In February, Swisher acquired Choice Environmental Services, the article noted.
According to the article, the new acquisitions further expand Swisher''s reach into the Northeast and Atlanta markets.
The transactions included $2 million in cash, assumption of debt and the issuance of 93,306 shares of Swisher common stock, the article added.
