LOCKPORT, NY — A Starpoint Central School District cleaner who was suspended for 60 days without pay is entitled to private arbitration, according to The Buffalo News.

State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch, Sr. has denied the district''s request to deny the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) arbitration in the case of Irene Roczniak, the article stated.

According to the article, Roczniak was suspended for allegedly taking an unauthorized trip to Florida last August.

The district rejected a grievance filed by the union, seeking to cancel the suspension and repay Roczniak''s salary, the article noted.
