RALEIGH, NC — Carpet cleaning and restoration products distribution center Sun-Belt USA has announced the celebration of its 40th year of business, according to a press release.
According to the release, the Raleigh, North Carolina-based company has a storied history, starting with founder Ken Hines selling three Steamex Carpet Cleaning Machines a day out of his station wagon and growing the company into a multi-line national distribution company.
Steve Boyette, current leader of Sun-Belt, said: "We all love our customers, admire and support our manufacturers, and are willing to sacrifice everyday, long term, for the goals of the company. Sun-Belt has weathered the recent economic storm and remains financially strong. We are positioned for growth and eager to overcome any business and market challenges that lie ahead."
Sun-Belt was also the first company to develop a diverse catalog of carpet cleaning industry products in 1983, and the Direst Buyers Guide is still published each year featuring more than 50 manufacturers, the release stated.
Ken Hines'' brother Bob Hines was the inventor of the original Steamex Carpet Cleaning Machines, manufactured by US Floor Systems, the release added.
