LACKAWAXEN, PA — A janitor at Camp Chayolei Hamelech was found dead last week with multiple stab wounds to the chest, according to a press release.
Pennsylvania State Police have determined, with the help of an autopsy conducted at Lehigh Valley Hospital, that the cause of death for the unidentified 50-year-old male of possible Eastern European decent was homicide, the release stated.
According to the story, no campers or other camp staff were involved in any way as this was an isolated incident resulting from an alleged dispute between janitors.
Police are eyeing two other janitors at the camp as suspects, the release noted.
Campers were not informed of the incident and the matter was not made public because camp administrators did not want to frighten anyone at the camp, the release added.
