BOZEMAN, MT — A Montana State University (MSU) student hopes her senior photography project will give the university''s custodial staff the exposure it deserves, according to the MSU News Service.

Jordan Cole, a senior graduating in December, made it her senior project to photograph the custodians employed by MSU Facility Services, and has since expanded that to all 67 employees, the article stated.
According to the article, Cole was inspired to pursue the idea after some remembered advice from one of her professors.

Tim Alzheimer, her MSU finance professor, said, "There are two people you need to know in the company. The custodians and the secretaries they are the gate keepers and key holders."

Her project seemed all the more relevant when she realized that most of her peers and some of the staff did not even know the names of the people who cleaned their office and classrooms, the article noted.

"I wanted to say thank you to those people who worked so hard to make sure the campus stayed clean, and this seemed like a good way to do it," Cole said.
