has announced the hiring of Rich Zuccaro as the company''s new power factor program manager, according to a press release
According to the release, Zuccaro, who works out of an office in Upstate New York, will be responsible for communicating with customers and product representatives to identify cost-saving opportunities involved with power factor penalties and electric billing tariff rates.
Staco Vice-president of Sales and Marketing Dave Kendall said: "Rich is an excellent addition to the Staco sales and marketing team. His familiarity with utility operations and his in-depth knowledge of power factor correction problems and solutions, combined with an intense customer focus make him ideal for this new position."
Zuccaro has a bachelor''s degree in electrical engineering from Manhattan College
, a master''s degree in business administration from the Rutgers Graduate School of Business
and an extensive background in the power factor/capacitor industry, the release stated.
Zuccaro, who comes to Staco from General Electric
, will also work with utilities to determine companies that have incentives available to curb energy demand, the release added.
