WASHINGTON — The Soap and Detergent Association (SDA) is hosting a webinar at no cost to help community leaders prepare for the potential threats to public health from the upcoming cold and flu season, according to a press release.
The one-hour "Cold and Flu Season" will take place Thursday, September 24, 2009, at 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), the release stated.
Speakers for the free webinar will include: Nancy Bock, SDA vice president of education; Dr. Diane Allensworth of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); and Barbara Hyde, director of communications for the American Society of Microbiology, the release noted.
Bock said: "Education and preparation are the keys to keeping us healthy. SDA''s Cold and Flu Season webinar is ideal for health professionals, consumer educators, school nurses, teachers, cleaning product industry professionals and all others who are involved in health and hygiene programming."
