MEMPHIS, TN — The ServiceMaster Company recently released their fiscal second-quarter results, noting a revenue decline for the second consecutive quarter, according to the Memphis Business Journal.
Revenue fell from $957.3 million in the year-ago quarter to the current $920.5 million, the story stated.
Total revenue for the year is $2.52 billion with a net income of $43.3 million, compared to $2.57 billion in revenue and a loss of $40.7 million for the same period in 2008, the story noted.
According to the release, ServiceMaster is now privately held, but continues to provide financial reporting to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) because the company holds some public debt.
Quarterly net income for the quarter increased to $20.5 million from last year''s $17 million, the story added.
