MEMPHIS, TN — The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ServiceMaster, who led the company during the relocation of its corporate headquarters from Illinois to Memphis, is stepping down, according to The Daily News.
J. Patrick Spainhour, who has served as CEO of ServiceMaster since 2006, is retiring from the company at the end of the year, the article stated.
In a statement about the departure, Spainhour said he''s looking forward to spending more time with his family in his retirement years, and that he''s given the company’s leadership team his commitment to work through the transition period and help find a CEO to "lead ServiceMaster through the next phase of its journey."
According to the article, Spainhour will continue to oversee ServiceMaster and its brands that include Terminix, TruGreen LandCare, American Home Shield, ServiceMaster Clean, Merry Maids and others.
"I''ve thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to serve as CEO of a great company with great people and a rich tradition of service that begins with a foundational principle of honoring God in all we do," Spainhour said.
