BOWLING GREEN, KY — The public relations coordinator for Warren County Public Schools spoke in support of House Bill 146, which would encourage school districts to use green cleaning products, according to the Daily News.

The bill represents a collaboration between the Kentucky U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and state Representative Carl Rollins (D-Midway), the article stated.

According to the article, both the Kentucky USGBC and Rollins wanted a school district representative to speak in favor of the legislation.

They chose Joanie Hendricks, public relations coordinator for Warren County Public Schools, to speak about the district’s experience with green products, which the district has been using for 10 years, the article noted.

"The benefits to the kids and benefits to the environment were just amazing," said Hendricks.

"This is just another way we can teach our kids that your school cares about you," Hendricks added.
