NEW ALBANY, IN — In a budget saving move, the New Albany Floyd County School District is considering using an outside contractor for its custodial services, according to The Courier-Journal.
The decision to outsource could save the district nearly $80,000 a year, the article stated.
According to the article, a request for proposals has been sent out and are due back to the district by August 2.
The district currently has a staff of 108, 11 of which are already supplied by an outside contractor, the Kelly Services Company, the article noted.
