DEWITT, AR — The DeWitt School District''s problematic relationship with current janitorial services provider, Janco Building Services, will come to an end this summer, according to the DeWitt Era-Enterprise.

The school board has voted to switch providers and contract with GCA Services of Knoxville, Tennessee, the article stated.

According to the article, Janco was awarded the district contract when the decision was made two years ago to switch from in-house janitorial services to contract services.

"Janco has done a lot of good things, but there have also been a lot of glitches, which were largely the result of poor management," said Superintendent Gary Wayman.

GCA’s bid was also accepted for their use of Green Seal-certified "bio-renewable" products, which reduce the risk of allergic reactions from students and teachers sensitive to chemicals, the article noted.
