BELMONT, MA — Every Friday, Bob Martin hangs a "Gone Fishin''" sign over his computer; last Friday, it was for good, according to The Belmont Citizen-Herald.
Martin retired on October 29 after more than 20 years as building and maintenance supervisor for the Belmont Public Schools, the article noted.
By Thanksgiving, he expects to be in Florida, enrolling in a course to get his captain''s license, which would let him start a charter business to spread his love of deep sea and kayak fishing both here and in the Sunshine State, but he will miss the people, the article stated.
"I''ve had a good run here, and really enjoyed it," Martin said.
"There''s a tremendous amount of really good people who work with the school system, and I''ve enjoyed working with them all. I''ll be thinking of my custodians; they are the people who I will miss," Martin added.
