PHILADELPHIA — SCA Tissue has earned Green Seal™North America to earn certification by both Green Seal and by EcoLogoCM, according to a press release.
Because it uses only 100 percent recycled paper to manufacture its Tork products, SCA Tissue recycles 750,000 tons of paper annually, of which 400,000 tons are post-consumer, the release stated.
Joseph Russo, SCA Tissue vice president of sales and distribution U.S. and Canada, said: "Because a significant number of our customers and consumers either specify Green Seal certification for purchase of cleaning and sanitary paper products or use Green Seal standards as a model in setting their own environmental criteria for products, the dual certification of Green Seal and EcoLogo will create additional sales opportunities for our distributor partners."
