Ranked for fifth consecutive year by Ethisphere award and third consecutive year by FORTUNE

PHILADELPHIA – SCA, a global hygiene products company, announced it has once again been named one of the world’s most ethical companies by the American Ethisphere Institute. SCA also earned a spot on FORTUNE magazine’s list of “World’s Most Admired Companies.”

Ethisphere recognizes companies that go beyond the ordinary and demonstrate that business ethics are decisive for a company''s brand and profitability. Every year the competition intensifies for Ethisphere''s ranking, and the record number of companies nominated for 2012 was no exception. Ethisphere evaluated several thousand companies from over 40 industries. The list of nominees for 2012 included a record of 145 companies which outperform their peer competitors in ethical business practices.

FORTUNE''s World''s Most Admired Companies list is the definitive report card on corporate reputations. Hay Group has collaborated with FORTUNE annually since 1997 to identify, select and rank the World’s Most Admired Companies and uncover the business practices that make them highly regarded among their peers. To compile the rankings, corporate reputation and performance are measured against nine key attributes: innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, quality of products and services, and global competitiveness. Innovation, social responsibility and quality of products and services were the respondents’ key attributes of reputation when asked about SCA.

“SCA is proud to be recognized by both Ethisphere and FORTUNE magazine again this year,” said Don Lewis, President, SCA Americas. “SCA employees, and the company as a whole, have a passion for ensuring ethical behavior, social responsibility and creating the highest quality of products for customers and consumers.”

The World’s Most Admired Companies list can be found on the FORTUNE website.
