FREDERICK, MD — Susan Pugh has logged 13 years of labor as a custodian, but she never just cleaned, according to the Frederick News Post.

Pugh spent most of her career at Rose Hill Manor Park and Museum, but while she was primarily the custodian, she always did a little more, the article stated.

According to the article, Pugh also spent her time working in the garden, drying herbs and flowers for displays.

Last Christmas, Pugh was asked to decorate for Christmas with adornments made from the flowers she dried, the article noted.

"The garden has made it seem like more than a custodial job. There''s just always something happening. The garden is probably my favorite spot," said Pugh.

On Thursday, the 60-year-young Pugh retired from her position at Rose Hill in order to move with her husband to West Virginia, the article added.
