HOST Dry Carpet Cleaning Products Achieve Green Seal GS-37 Certification
RACINE, WI – Washington, D.C. based non-profit Green Seal, the premier independent eco-label in the United States, is excited to announce that all of HOST’s dry carpet cleaning products meet the new criteria of GS-37, Green Seal''s environmental standard for institutional and industrial cleaners. The products meet Green Seal’s strict performance, environmental and packaging requirements, including a plant audit.
“We appreciate our Green Seal certifications because they reflect our dedication to making highly effective products with worry-free ingredients,” said Fritz Rench, CEO of Racine Industries, manufacturer of HOST. “When people see the Green Seal, they know our ingredient and efficacy claims have been strictly verified… and our customers are thrilled knowing they can save water and energy while using a certified environmentally-preferable product that works.”
The fifth edition of GS-37, released August of 2009, tightened the restrictions regarding volatile organic compounds and reproductive toxins, and prohibited phthalates and chemicals related to causing asthma. This updated standard goes further than any national cleaning product standard in protecting human health and the environment. Products certified under the new GS-37 standard are among the greenest cleaning products available on the market.
“We achieved our first Green Seal certification years ago and continue to look for ways to improve the sustainability of our products and manufacturing processes,” added Rench.
