Scott Noble, owner and operator of Noble Carpet Cleaners in Elk Grove, California, is in the pursuit of the perfect cleaning process. He''s been at it for years. He tests techniques and hardware in an in-house shop to bring only the best to the field. Now he''s a go-to for tips on best practices and equipment — a service his residential and small commercial customers rely on.

"I emphasize protecting the carpet investment in the long-term," says Noble. "My customers are constantly asking me for a recommendation on vacuums. I''ve always used uprights and I''ve tried many. I finally found one that exceeds my expectations, and is priced right for my customers."

His vacuum of choice: The ProForce® 1500XP. The durable, high-performance upright comes from ProTeam Inc., the original innovator of the lightweight backpack vacuum that revolutionized the speed and efficiency of cleaning over 20 years ago. The ProForce 1500XP brings the same tough construction and attention to detail to the upright arena. Ergonomic and lightweight, the vacuum features a dual-motor system that dedicates a power source to both the head and the suction so suction stays strong, even when the beater bar is hard at work.

For Noble, finding the ideal vacuum has been quite a process. He has tried several brands and makes — everything from cheap department store models to expensive commercial machines. He would find a vacuum that performed a single aspect of the job perfectly, only to see it fall short in other ways.

"Most beater bars need constant adjustment to keep the bristles from digging in and pulling back the carpet fibers," says Noble. "If a vacuum did have a good beater bar, the suction would be lacking. Then, when I found the vacuum with the best suction, it was weighty like a tank, and to connect a nozzle or hose was like messing with a Transformer toy."

Noble began putting together a list of criteria. The perfect vacuum would be easy to maneuver, have a quick draw accessory nozzle, lasting durability and a reputation for advanced dust capture.

"The ProForce had been on my radar for several years," Noble says. "So I decided to make the switch. My customers now ask me about it almost everyday. It''s very durable and the handle prevents any fatigue whatsoever. Whipping out the nozzle to get the baseboards in all my rooms is ridiculously fast. It is without a doubt the most productive vacuum cleaner for me to date."

The ProForce 1500XP met every detail of Noble''s checklist. The design is ergonomic and easy to use. It comes with a multi-year warranty and automatic safety features like an indicator and shut-off switch that activate when the brush roll jams, the airflow becomes restricted or the filter is out of place. It features Four Level® Filtration with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) media. And, it includes on-board tools and a convenient quick-release wand for detail cleaning.

"Every home has debris around the edges next to the baseboard," says Noble. "My customers who hire housecleaners are always hammering them to ''make sure you get the edges.'' In the absence of a convenient tool, mediocrity will prevail. In support of professional house cleaners and fellow carpet cleaners, there aren''t a lot of upright machines that have as functional a quick-draw nozzle as the ProForce 1500XP."

Noble offers a no-fee consultation for his carpet cleaning work and he wins long-term customers with researched insight and an excellent end result, due, in part, to his ProTeam ProForce.
