WHITEHALL, WI
— In response to a flu outbreak that has caused roughly 150 students to call in sick each day this week, the Whitehall School District will close its doors until mid next week, according to the Winona Daily News.
Memorial High School, Sunset Elementary School and Pigeon Falls Elementary School will all be closed to allow custodians to disinfect lockers, classrooms, busses and other high-touch areas of the schools, the story stated.
About 10 percent of the Whitehall School District staff is also sick, making it extremely difficult to continue with business as usual, the story noted.
