Wausau Paper posts second-quarter results

WAUSAU, WI — Wausau Paper Corporation recently released its second-quarter figures, which included a quarterly net loss of $1.9 million, according to a press release.

The loss is much less severe than the $9.6 million loss posted in the year-ago quarter, the release stated.

Quarterly net sales declined from $305.2 million in the same quarter last year to the present $262.2 million, the release noted.

Net income for the second quarter was 15 cents per share, compared to a net loss of 3 cents per share in the previous year''s second quarter, the release added.
