Violand hires business development specialist

NORTH CANTON, Ohio — Tom Cline, a business consultant, trainer, and adjunct professor whose professional career focused on sales, marketing, and operations has been appointed Business Development Specialist at Violand Management Associates (VMA), a business-management teaching, training, and consulting company.

Most recently, Cline was Regional Program Coordinator for MAGNET, a non-profit organization where he provided consulting services to manufacturers with less than 100 employees. In addition, Cline has been an Adjunct Professor for Stark State College teaching courses in Management, Marketing and Supervision.
Prior to consulting and teaching, Cline spent 5 years as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Millwood Incorporated, a recognized leader in pallets, containers and unit load solutions with 750 employees and $70 million in annual revenues. This followed a 25 year career with The Timken Company, a $2.6B global producer of antifriction bearings and alloy steel, capped off as General Manager of Global Distribution Logistics.
