CARROLLTON, GA — In order to save money, Carrollton City Schools has hired a private company to handle their janitorial services, according to the Times-Georgian.
The junior high school and the elementary school have both removed janitorial services from the principals’ responsibilities, hiring First Facility Services in place of in-house staff, the article stated.
According to the article, the junior high alone will save nearly $50,000 in the next year.
Luckily, none of the full-time custodial staff lost their jobs, but were transferred to open positions at the high school and middle school, the article noted.
