Bedbugs are quite susceptible to heat. Raising the room temperature to 120° F and holding it there for 3 hours will kill both the bedbugs and their eggs, making the next generation non-existent. Steam, directed at the infestation will do the same thing, but you are less likely to miss with the heat method.
