The 2010 Applied Ergonomics Conference and Expo

SAN ANTONIO, TX — The 2010 Applied Ergonomics Conference and Expo (AEC) is slated for March 22-25 at the J.W. Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa, according to a press release.
With a wealth of well-respected ergonomics practitioners sharing real-world experiences and practical solutions to common problems in industry, the AEC provides comprehensive and broad-spectrum education for ergonomics professionals at all levels, the release stated.
According to the release, early registration discounts are available through January 15 with a super-early registration, Ergoweb member discount available until December 18.
Keynote speakers for the 2010 conference include Y. Ian Noy, vice president and director of Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety and Guy Fragala, senior advisor for the Ergonomics Patient Safety Center of Inquiry, the release noted.
Bill Boyd, co-chair of the Conference, said: "This will be an opportunity for professionals from a variety of specialties to discuss ergonomics issues with similar causes, effects or solutions. It will be an opportunity to share ideas between non-similar organizations. It will be a meeting venue for multisite companies or professional groups to meet together while engaging in continuing education opportunities and a networking opportunity for professionals and line workers from similar organizations."
Other highlights of the event include the presentation of the prestigious Ergo Cup® Award, a large variety of educational tracks and interesting and informative exhibits from leading corporations in the ergonomics business, the release added.
