SUNY Fredonia names facilities services director

FREDONIA, NY — Kevin P. Cloos has been named the new State University of New York (SUNY) at Fredonia facilities services director, following the merger of the facilities management department with the building services and grounds department, according to the Post-Journal.
Cloos, a Fredonia native, will work closely with five assistant directors in providing leadership to a custodial and maintenance staff of more than 140 employees, which include custodial, structural trades, grounds and landscaping, electrical shop, heating plant, plumbing shop, refrigeration, energy management and office staff, the story stated.
Cloos serves on numerous campus committees, including its sustainability, emergency preparedness, construction coordinators and commencement committees, among others, the story noted.
Cloos received the SUNY Chancellor''s Award for Excellence in Professional Service in 2003 and has served as director of building services and grounds at Fredonia since 2003, the story added.
