SteamMaster president receives Entrepreneur of the Year award

VAIL VALLEY, CO — Gary Gilman, president of SteamMaster Restoration & Cleaning, is the 2010 recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Vail Valley Partnership, according to a press release.
According to the release, the award was presented at the partnership''s Annual Awards Gala on February 5, where SteamMaster was also nominated for the inaugural Citizenship Award, which recognizes businesses for their continual commitment to community involvement.
Gilman said: "I''m extremely honored to be selected for this entrepreneur award. This award also reflects our company''s pride and team members'' commitment to providing excellent service and healthy indoor environments to our customers."
SteamMaster was founded by Gilman in 1978, and it has grown from a single-truck carpet cleaning operation to a full-service company offering specialty cleaning services, water and fire restoration, mold remediation and, most recently, solutions for moisture in basements through Colorado Basement Systems, the release stated.
Gilman continued, saying: "Among the initiatives we use to keep our customers happy and increase profitability includes employee incentives and recognition and customer satisfaction report cards which are personally reviewed by our CEO, Raj Manickam. Customer satisfaction and extending world-class solutions is the key to our success."
SteamMaster''s nomination for the Citizenship Award was in recognition of its community involvement, which includes an annual charity golf tournament, fundraiser contributions and an on-going food drive to benefit the Vail Valley Salvation Army, the release added.
